- Broken Tooth
- Gently clean away the dirt/ debris in the area of injured tooth with water.
- If there is swelling apply cold compression to the area.
- In case of bleeding apply direct pressure to the bleeding area with a clean cloth.
- Go to the dentist.
2. Cut or Bitten Mouth
- Control bleeding by application of direct pressure with a clean cloth for about 2 minutes. If bleeding still continues visit the pedatrician or dentist.
- Apply cold compression to control swelling and bleeding.
3. Bleeding after Baby Tooth Falls Out
- Make the child to bite down gauze over bleeding area for 15 minutes.

- For younger children, place the tooth in a cup of milk or saliva (ask the child to spit in a container and store the tooth in saliva).
- Remember not to dry off the tooth.
- Take the child and tooth to the dentist right away.
5. Toothache
- Rinse the mouth with warm water to clean it. Remove any food particles stuck between teeth with dental floss gently.
- Do not use heat or place aspirin on aching tooth and gums.
- Take the child to dentist.
6. Possible Broken/ Dislocated Jaw
- If you suspect the child may have a broken/ dislocated jaw try to keep the jaws from moving (hold them in place with a towel)
- Take the child to emergency room immediately.
