5 Ways to Be Proud of your Mouth

  • Regular oral hygiene maintenance

Brush your teeth twice daily for 2 minutes to maintain oral hygiene. Also include mouth rinsing with normal water after every meal in your routine.

Even develop tooth brushing habit in kids since eruption of 1st milk tooth. Children follow what they see. So demonstrate tooth brushing to your children and develop this healthy habit.

  • Routine oral and dental check up

Normally we come to know about dental and oral problems mostly when there is pain or bleeding. Therefore regular oral and dental check ups help to detect developing oral problems early and you can get the desired prevention and treatment on time. Don’t always wait for pain to happen.

  • Healthy and Nutritious Diet

Balanced diet is very important for oral as well as overall health. Include fibrous food rich in vitamin D and calcium in your diet. Avoid aerated and sugary drinks like colas, soda. Excessive use of caffiene is also bad for oral and overall health.

  • Proper hydration

Alongwith other factors like oral hygiene and diet, the pH of saliva is also responsible for caries and cavities. Maintain proper water level and hydration. Adequately hydrated mouth prevents cavities and bad smell also.

  • Avoid alcohol and tobacco smoking and chewing

Tobacco in any form either chewing or smoking is harmful for oral and overall health. This bad habit ruins the person with bad health and wealth also. Same is true with alcohol also.
